UMM known as UMM established in 1964. At the beginning of the UMM is a branch of the University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta. On July 1st 1968 the University of Muhammadiyah Malang became an official university stand-alone (separate from the University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta), whose implementation is in the hands of the Foundation University of Malang. Now there are 3 UMM: Campus I in Jalan Bandung No. 1, Campus II at Jalan Dam Sutami No. 188a, and Campus III (Integrated Campus) on Highway Tlogomas.
